This week the Jubilee Singers are stepping up the warm-up exercises and giving extra special attention to notes and memorization techniques in preparation for the Kathleen Battle concert on January 21, 2012. Last night's rehearsal with Ms. Battle and jazz piano great, Cyrus Chestnut broke the ice for the performers. The pristine lyric soprano voice of Ms. Battle, as well as the lush sounds of the world renown Albert McNeil Jubilee Singers and incomparable Chestnut is an event not to be missed.
